General

Note:     The Update, and Cancel buttons () are greyed out (inactive) and are not available for use. These buttons will become active when
                          the user selects the New () or Edit () buttons.
 
 
Required/Compulsory fields
 
The following are required/compulsory fields:
 
(i)     Grade Code
(ii)     Grade Description
    The Required/Compulsory fields must be completed as this is critical information that will be used during the creation of the timetable. The user will not be able
                   to save () a New Grade’s information if these fields are not completed.

Code

2. Code
 
The first field to be completed is the Grade Code. This is a Code for the Grade that will be displayed during the creation of the timetable.
 
Note:     The Grade Code is restricted to 5 alphanumeric characters.
 
 
Examples of how to setup Grade Codes:
 
The Grade Codes that are displayed in the screen below are sorted alphabetically. This sort order will also be used when setting up the timetable. For ease of use it is important to ensure that the user enters the Grade Codes in the “correct” format.
 
(i)     To enter Grade Codes for Grade 1 to Grade 9 the following format can be used:
GR1
GR2
GR3
........
GR9
 
(ii)     To enter Grade Codes for Grade 1 to Grade 12 the following format must be used:
GR01
GR02
GR03
........
GR10
GR11
GR12
    The Grade Code is a unique field. Thus, the user can not register two Grades with the
     same Code. Should the user try to save a Grade with a Code that already exists,
     the Error Screen below will be displayed:
 
 
 
 
If the user deletes the Grade Code and Left Click on the Update button (), the Error Screen below will be displayed, indicating that not all of the Required/Compulsory fields  have been entered.
 
 
 
Should the user enter a Valid Unique Grade Code and proceeds to Create a New Grade by Left Clicking on the Update button (), the Error Screen below will be displayed, indicating that not all of the Required/Compulsory fields have been entered.

Description

 
 
    The Grade Description is a unique field. The implication of this being that the user cannot register two Grades with the same Description.
 
Should the user try to save a Grade with a Grade Description that already exists, the Error Screen below will be displayed:
 
 
 
Should the user enter a Valid Unique Room Description and a Valid Unique Description, the room information can be saved by Left Clicking on the Update button       ().

Add New Grade

Once all relevant Grade Information has been captured/changed, the information can be Saved by Left Clicking on the Update button ().
 
The Notification Screen below will be displayed, indicating that the Room Information was saved successfully.
 
 
Left Click on the OK button to acknowledge the Notification.

Cancel

5. Cancel
The user can Cancel the Current Add Action by selecting the Cancel button ().
